My Experience in Beijing. First Leap English

Last year I set out to move and work abroad in China which was simultaneously the most rewarding and challenging experience of my life. My school centre was a branch of First Leap English, a Franchise school with numerous branches around China. My school branch was based in the bustling capital city of Beijing. My time at Aston English (Jining branch)

Aston English is a very long established English training centre for TEFL teachers that I had found through the well received and popular Noon Elite Recruitment agency. The branch I was at was in the northern Shandong province where there was a city called Jining. In terms of the location I couldn’t have been in a more comfortable place to assimilate, as this medium sized not to well known city is viewed by fellow foreigners to be extra friendly. I found a position through Noon Elite Recruitment at Hangzhou Dong Guan Primary School, a local Primary School in Hangzhou. The school employed me via a Chinese employment agency Haida HR. My time in China. Hangzhou New Century Foreign Language School via Haida agency

I had the most amazing experience in China. I taught at a private boarding school in central Hangzhou (a 10 minute walk from West Lake- the most famous area of Hangzhou) with excellent facilities. The kids were amazing, and it was obvious the teachers cared a lot about their education. Classes were tough to begin with as I had zero previous teaching experience but once you’re thrown in a classroom of fourteen 7-year-old kids and mostly left to your own devices, you quickly learn!
